The design illustrates how bush tucker becomes prolific after a good downpour in the central desert regions. Enjoying the plentiful water and food, budgerigars breed and swarm in the millions. Julianne has depicted the budgerigar eggs interspersed with the myriad of foods they enjoy, including a variety of bush plums and the green bush bananas. The budgies also enjoy grass and spinifex seeds. There are major Budgerigar Dreaming sites in the Kintore and Yuendumu regions of the Tanami Desert. We pay our respects and give thanks to all indigenous artists, working to keep story and culture alive and sharing it so we can all learn. This Twixt is made from soft cotton.
